As a dental practice in Shelby, NC, the team at Shelby Dental Care Center looks for opportunities to perform community service projects. We are committed to giving back, participating in volunteer opportunities, and supporting community organizations in our area.
Missions of Mercy
As a way of helping the community, Dr. Cahill, Marla, Katrina, and Lynn volunteered at Missions of Mercy in Charlotte, NC. The North Carolina Missions of Mercy (NCMOM) mobile free dental clinics are an outreach initiative organized by the North Carolina Dental Society. The mission of the North Carolina Dental Health Fund is to address the mitigating access to dental care in our medically underserved communities.
Adopt A Soldier
During the holiday season, the staff at Shelby Dental Care Center remembered our military members away from their homes. We shipped them essential items ranging from toiletries and food, to tabloids and books.
Animal Shelter Donation
On November 9th, dentists at Shelby Dental Care donated food and supplies to the animal shelter as a way of honoring Dr. Young’s 50th birthday.
United Way Award
Community service performed alongside United Way is our legacy at Shelby Dental Care Center. United Way presented us the 2020 Spirit of North Carolina Campaign Excellence Award
